Tuesday was my one year anniversary of serving as Pastor of St. Vincent de Paul Blessed Sacrament and Saints John and Andrew Parishes. It has been a wonderful year of growth and adjustment for our parishes.

I am grateful to everyone who has worked so hard to make the transition and adjustment smooth for our parishes. I would especially like to thank Msgr. Meagher for all his help, wisdom and insight during this past year. We truly are blessed to have him as a part of our parish families.

As we begin another year, I would like to look for ways that our two parishes can continue to work together. I am not talking about huge projects, but small, baby steps. One small step that we are taking is this year’s Parish Picnic. I am happy to be able to invite the members of Saints John and Andrew Parish to attend the annual picnic at St. Vincent de Paul Blessed Sacrament Parish. Tickets are $5.00 per person and $20.00 per family. Please make your plans now to attend the Parish Picnic on Sunday, August 10. It promises to be a fun time for all with a Chicken Barbecue, children’s games, entertainment, raffle baskets and even an Ice Cream Truck.
