This weekend’s Readings from Sacred Scripture speak to us about the power of prayer. Our God wants nothing more in life than to have a relationship with us.

He badly wants us to turn to Him daily in prayer. Too many times we get caught up in the busyness of life and forget to spend some time with Our God. During this summer season, let us pause and spend some time with our God every day. Let us share our joys and struggles with Him and allow His love to become the foundation of our lives.

This is the last weekend for Deacon Cornelius Deep to be with us this summer. He is leaving this week for a brief vacation and then will return to the seminary for his final year of preparation for priesthood. Let’s continue to keep Deacon Cornelius in our prayers as he prepares for Priesthood Ordination on May 30, 2026.

Our Parish picnic is only two weeks away. Make your plans now to attend our annual Parish Picnic on August 10 beginning at noon at St. Vincent de Paul Blessed Sacrament Parish. We will have Mass that day at 11:00 at St. Vincent de Paul Blessed Sacrament Church followed by a delicious chicken barbecue, live music, children’s games and an ice cream truck. Tickets are available after Mass. Don’t forget about the basket raffle!

HAVE A GREAT WEEK!
