In this weekend’s Gospel Reading we see our Lord Jesus appearing to the Apostles as they are fishing after the Lord’s Resurrection. We see our Lord Jesus helping the Apostles to make a miraculous catch of fish. Again, this shows us that the Lord Jesus assists His disciples as they did their best to catch some fish. The Lord Jesus continues to be with us today as we journey as His disciples. He is there to lead and guide us as we strive to be witnesses to His resurrected presence in the world. The Lord is with us through the power of His Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit that continually leads and guides the Church in the world. Let us pray to the Holy Spirit as the Cardinals of the Church prepare to select another Pope to lead us. May we ask the Lord to keep the Cardinals open to the Holy Spirit’s promptings as they begin the Conclave on Wednesday.
It is a wonderful weekend for our parish community as our young people received the Lord Jesus for the first time in the Sacrament of Holy Communion. I would like to thank everyone who worked so hard to prepare our young people for this special day. May we all keep them in our thoughts and prayers on this special weekend.
HAVE A GREAT WEEK!
