SAINT JOHN’S SCHOOL NEWS
After a very nice Christmas recess, the children returned to school eager to resume their learning activities and routines. The faculty and staff have enjoyed listening to the children’s adventures while they were off.

January 12th through the 15th, the 6th graders will be taking midterm exams. We know they will do their
best.

On Monday the teachers were able to enjoy a mini-retreat at St. James led by Fr. John Brusa. It reminded the teachers of their unique evangelization role as Catholic School Educators. It was an afternoon well spent.

The students in grades 4th and 5th attended a Binghamton University’s Women’s Basketball game on Thursday, the 15th. On the 16th of January, students in grades 3-6 participated in Lego 2.0 presented by Lockheed Martin. The students were very excited to participate in these events.

There will be no school Monday January 19th for Martin Luther King Day. A celebration of our Catholic Schools will take place the week of January 26th. Plans are underway to make this a memorable week for the children. Our plans will be shared with you when they are finalized.

Enjoy a blessed week.
