A WORD FROM THE PASTOR
As we celebrate the Fourth Sunday of Lent, we meet the man born blind in today’s Gospel story. We see how Jesus restores the sight of this man and completely changes his life. We all have blind spots in our lives. Many of these blind spots in our lives are because of our sins. We are prevented from seeing God’s merciful love in our lives because our own sins blind us to receiving the light of His love. This weekend’s Gospel calls us to examine our own lives in the light of God’s love and to ask the Lord to remove the sins that blind us to His love and presence. One way for us to do this is through the sacrament of reconciliation or confession.
This is an excellent Lenten practice and a great way to prepare for the feast of Easter. On Monday, March 30 our parish will participate in the Diocesan-wide “The light is on for you”. We will have confessions that day from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm. Make your plans now to experience the love and mercy of God in this healing sacrament.
Just a reminder that we will have a special Outdoor Sunrise Mass at St. Vincent de Paul Blessed Sacrament
Parish at 6:00 am on Easter Sunday. Bring your folding chairs and blankets as we celebrate this beautiful mass as we recall the Lord’s Resurrection.
I would like to thank everyone who attended the Listening Session this past week in our parish. It was a
great opportunity for me to listen to the history of our parish and will be helpful as we journey into the future together as a parish family.
HAVE A GREAT WEEK!!
