I would like to share with you that Megan Berg has accepted the position of Youth Minister for the parishes of Saints John and Andrew and St. Vin- cent de Paul Blessed Sacrament. Megan is excited about this part time position and is looking forward to working with the youth of our two parishes.
Megan’s enthusiasm and many gifts will make her a wonderful minister to the youth of our parishes. This is an excellent opportunity for our parishes to begin working together in this important area of Youth Ministry. I would like to thank Megan for accepting this position and look forward to working with her as we minister together.
In this weekend’s Gospel story, we see James and John asking the Lord to ensure their positions for all eternity. They ask to be seated right next to Him in the Kingdom of heaven. Jesus then uses the situation to teach us about the importance of humility and service in God’s Kingdom. We are all called to serve the needs of others and to reach out to those in need. We all need to reflect upon this important call in our lives and how we are doing in responding to Jesus invitation of humble service. In the midst of a world that values power and prestige, we are called to be humble servants to our brothers and sisters in the name of our Lord Jesus.
HAVE A GREAT WEEK!!!
